On the roads...;forgings out of carbon & alloy steels on dumpers,
excavators, loaders of Hindustan Motors(AVTEC), L&T Komatsu,Caterpillar etc, on
trucks, light commercial vehicles etc
On the rails..;critical forgings out of carbon & alloy steels, low alloy
steels etc. on locomotives for Indian Railways.
Deep into the Sea..;For classified projects for defence.The recent one includes Tee piece
(Titanium Alloy-B381 Gr.5-300kg) for Nuclear Submarines.
SIFL is equipped to manufacture high pressure application forgings like
Gate/ Valve Bodies, Choke Bodies etc. in Carbon and Alloy steel
material, to meet the requirements of Oil Field Equipment
manufacturers, Thermal Power Stations, Refineries, Petro-Chemical
Industries and Nuclear Plants.
The Valve Body forgings vary in sizes from few inches to 4
inches and the pressure ranging from 3000psi to 10000psi, fully
meeting international standards.Manufacturing of Non-Ferrous
Forgings includes High Precision and complex forgings out of various
grades of Titanium,Aluminium,Inconel, Maraging Steel
etc.
So far the company fas developed about 800 different types of forgings and the development of new components
are continued.Forgings are also being exported to countries like USA,Indonesia,Malaysia and Middle East.

The company has made significant contribution in Aerospace/Aeronautical sector by way of developing complex
forgings for various Aero engines.The latest of which involves the supply of Acquisition Device and Dome
Closure forgings for project CHANDRAYAN by ISRO.
Our recent noteworthy acheivements includes development of
Shock Strut Cylinder-Landing Gear-LCA Naval version(Maraging steel-390kg)
and
Wheel Hub(BS-4L77 Aluminium Alloy-120kg) for
Sukhoi 30MKI Aircraft.
SIFL has developed three types of
closed die forged components of Ti6Al4V(Titanium alloy) for VSSC(ISRO).
SIFL has developed about 70 Aeronautical closed die forgings
for HAL in wide spectra of metals viz.Maraging steel,Titanium alloys,Aluminium alloys,WASP alloys,Super Alloys etc.
